Graphics options for IRFs
Graphics options for IRFs
Hello.
I would like to "prettify" the graphs I obtain using the @dlmirf procedure. The Reference Manual section on the Graph instruction mentions "style sheets" and refers one to the User's Guide, section 3.5. There, one is told to "see the PDF file entitled "RATS Graph Style Sheets" included with your copy of RATS". I am unable to find this file on my installation (I am using RATSv7.3). Is it available somewhere on the Estima site?
Regards

Re: Graphics options for IRFs
The Style Sheets feature is now described in the "RATS 7.x Supplement" PDF included with the program (i.e. "RATS 7.3 Supplement" in your case).

Re: Graphics options for IRFs
Further to this, could you indicate whether (and if so, how) there is a way to obtain graphs with background colour (as, for example, in EViews)?

Re: Graphics options for IRFs
With apologies in advance for the colors, something like:
Not currently, but it's not hard to implement.

Re: Graphics options for IRFs
Thanks Tom. Even with these colours, it looks much better! How did you do it?

Re: Graphics options for IRFs
Ah, the advantages of having source code. Once we have the Mac and Unix 7.3's done, we'll be able to start playing with new features. That looks like it would best be handled by a GRPARM option like BACKGROUND=fill color number. That way, it would apply to graphs done inside procedures like DLMIRF.jdacuddy wrote:Thanks Tom.
