hi evreyone, i am working on panal data (annuel frequency : from1984 to 2007). I want to change the frequency of data: i like to consider, not a panel at annual frequency, but rather a periodic panel of 3-years.

No change to the data, just every three years rather than every year? Could you just use a SMPL option to include only every three entries?

print(smpl=%clock(%period(t),3)==1)

will do every third entry starting with the first. (Change the ==1 to ==2 or ==3 to start the sequencing at the second or third entry).
