Changes to Forum Topics

We've recently added some new sub-forums to keep questions and discussions organized in a logical fashion.

The "General RATS Discussions" section now has two new categories:

Data: Reading, Writing, Transforming
Use this category for questions on reading in data from a file, converting data from one frequency to another, doing transformations on series, writing data out to a file, and similar questions.

Graphics, Reports, and Other Output
Use this category for discussions on generating, exporting, and printings graphs, creating formatted reports, exporting results to external files, and other questions related to generating output or preparing results for publication.

Please use the existing "Help with Coding" section for general questions related to writing RATS code (general questions on syntax, help resolving syntax errors, and other "how to" questions).

The "Other RATS Usage Questions" should be reserved for general questions about working with RATS, such as using the menu operations and other aspects of the interface, executing instructions, installation or operating system questions, and so on.

In the "Econometrics Issues" section, we've added a "Panel Data" section for discussions related to panel data.

We've also moved many topics into more appropriate forums. You'll still find "shadow" copies of the topic in the forum where they originally appeared.

Please help make the forum as useful as possible for everyone by carefully choosing where you place any new topics.
